Nicolás Kello was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and spent his childhood and later years traveling and living in diverse corners of the globe. This global upbringing afforded him fluency in various languages and a natural exposure to a variety of musical styles. Nick earned a degree in Philosophy and Literature from Boston College, as well as a degree in Musical Performance for the Guitar from California Institute of the Arts. For the past two decades Nick has worked as a performer, recording artist, composer and educator. He has been involved in composing and performing music for various interdisciplinary arts projects (including animation, dance, and theater). Nick has performed live concerts at venues such as Dodger Stadium, House Of Blues, Pershing Square, REDCAT, and Levitt Pavilion; recently opening for Poncho Sanchez at The Cave. Nick has worked prolifically as an educator in a variety of school settings teaching diverse subjects, including music, literature and philosophy. Nick has offered professional development seminars for various national organizations across the United States on the topic of arts integration, and inquiry-based music instruction. In 2015 Nick received a research award from UCLA's Center For The Art Of Performance that was inaugurated to highlight "the most extraordinary music teacher in Los Angeles". He is currently based in Los Angeles, California, where, aside from his work as a musician and composer he is actively involved as an educator. Nick currently holds the position of Director Of Music at Mirman School, in Los Angeles CA.
